Congratulations, SDN!

Our 11th Anniversary celebrations will always be rendered fresh by our Website. Thanks to our Webmaster & Committee, and Manang Belen, we have posted the very memento we will always reference to; thanks, also, to the very sharp photos by Jhun Botardo of Lakeland, Florida.

As well, we published a Souvenir Journal - prepared as best we could, with available materials - in complete form, or yet to be laid out. We have now learned the ropes of Journal publishing at minimal expense. Thank you, Members, Officers, and Donors alike for your personal greetings or advertisements.

Above all, we have discovered among ourselves that we can place any Committee and work would be done. Special Mention to Chair Edith C. Garcia for the superb handling of the Anniversary Party, the preparations, reviews, and execution of the necessary tasks of delivering a Superb Reunion - three days of fellowship and fun.

Indeed, we will cherish the memories of our 11th Anniversary and Reunion!

Our fundraising activities have been severely affected by the obvious economic difficulties, globally and nationally, and therefore, personally. Yet, we find ways to bring the revenue so we can continue the very same generosity we have afforded to the deserving students from our hometown. Let us be proud of our unique Scholarship Program. Many of us stood firm in continuing the Program in its very structure. Special thanks to Rene Cabang, as Chair of the Program, and also individually - as well - to Mario Panajon for his personal donation to one of our Scholars, for issues outside of our 4-year commitment per Scholar.

Thank, you, So Cal group for your robust Casino fundraising outings. You keep the revenues coming, so we may avoid dipping further into our coffers each time we fund our Scholars.

So far, so good, bad economy regardless. Our mark of succes is illustrated by our desire to keep our goals and projects going, even as some quarters are pushing for a reduction.

Let us all be proud of our accomplishments. Let others compare theirs to our Scholarship Program - let me assure you:  they will bow to our success!

Agbiag ti Nagbukel!

God bless us.
